Why Regular Dog Walks Matter

Consistent, well-paced walks give dogs something to focus on, and they do real work for a dog’s well-being: building confidence, reducing anxiety, increasing socialization, strengthening manners, and simply making for a happier dog. Small dogs need this exercise just as much as large ones.

If work keeps you away during the day, midday walks and potty breaks fill that gap and keep your dog’s routine on track. Available as an occasional walk or on a monthly contract, whatever fits your schedule best.

Walk Types & Scheduling

  • Midday walks and potty breaks: scheduled between 11am and 3:00pm
  • Alternate-time scheduling available for clients who don’t work a standard 9–5
  • Available as a one-time visit or on a recurring monthly contract
  • Puppy-specific visits: We can provide more frequent potty breaks and help reinforce house-training.
  • Senior dog considerations: We tailor each walk to your dogs pace and comfort level. We can also provide medication if needed.

What’s Included in a Walk

  • Fresh water and a bathroom break
  • Leashed walk for the full scheduled duration in accordance with our weather policy.
  • Basic obedience reinforcement during the walk
  • Photo or text update after each visit
  • Weather policy: Florida weather calls for some extra precautions to keep your dog safe and comfortable on walks. Here is how we handle it:
    • Heat and Humidity. During the hottest part of the days, we shorten walks or shift to cooler morning/evening times when possible, favoring shaded routes and frequent water breaks.
    • Pavement temperature. Asphalt and concrete can get dangerously hot in Florida sun. We test pavement with our hand before walking, and if it is too hot, we’ll stick to grass or shaded areas, or shorten the walk to a quick potty break with inside play in the AC instead.
    • Thunderstorms and lightning. For everyone’s safety, we don’t walk during active thunderstorms or lightning. We’ll try to time our visits to avoid the storm if possible, or we will wait it out or make it a shorter potty break/indoor play time instead of a walk.
    • Heavy rain. Light rain isn’t usually a problem, but during heavy downpours, we’ll opt for a quick potty break rather than a full walk. And if possible we will try to time our visit around the storm.
    • Hurricanes and tropical storms. In the event of a hurricane or tropical storm warning, we follow local safety guidance and will communicate with you directly about any changes to scheduled visits.

Frequenty Asked Questions

Do you offer last-minute or emergency dog walks?

We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests. Contact us at 407-617-3990 and we’ll check walker availability in your area.

How much does dog walking cost in Lake Mary and Sanford?

Dog walks start at $27 for a 20-minute basic visit, with 45- and 60-minute options available at $44 and $55. Each additional dog is $3 more per visit. A free initial consultation is required before your first walk.

Are your dog walkers insured & bonded?

Yes. Every walker is insured, bonded, background-checked, and CPR/first-aid certified. Insurance is provided through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

Will I get the same walker every time?

Not always. We introduce you to a small team of familiar sitters rather than relying on a single walker, so someone your dog already knows is available even when your usual walker isn’t.

What happens if it's raining or too hot outside?

Weather is factored into every visit. In light rain we’ll usually still go out as planned; in heavier storms or extreme heat, we’ll shorten the outdoor time and spend more of the visit on indoor play or belly rubs instead.

How many visits per day will you do, and how long is each one?

Visit frequency and length are built around your pet’s routine. Most cats do well with 1–2 visits a day (20–30 minutes); most dogs need 2–4 visits a day, with 30-minute visits recommended for multiple dogs or longer walks, and 20-minute visits for quick potty breaks. We can mix visit lengths throughout the day.

Do you walk puppies or senior dogs?

Yes, we will accommodate walks according to your dog’s age and health.
